Wow this is a good way to chart sickness! I was sick back in November of 08. I was really sick with high fever, chills and sore throat about a week ago, for three solid days. The fever was so bad, I stripped down, laid under a blanket cause i was cold but sweating, and in 15 minutes my sheets were soaked - had to move down to a dry spot on the bed!!! I know gross, right? That was the pits. Feeling really good now. Dad gave me some of this pomegranate antioxidant supplement capsule that was really cheap only 6 dollars and I think that it works...haven't taken it religiously, but I think it does work.
I'm 30 and trying to be better in life with my diet, my intuitive nature, my ideals, my finances, and my health. Here's to the 30's!!!! They will be the beginning of a healthy adult life! I don't even think about my 20's much, didn't like about 35% of them...so much confusion about life and what to do. I remember I was so bummed on my 21st birthday, was with friends but it was just BLAH and now I have a great husband, son, good life.

RLS and Celexa, RLS and SSRI's
Hello all.
Tonight I decided to taper off of my Celexa. I've been on it for oh about 10 years now, and though it has pretty much cured my despression, I have reason to believe it is actually CAUSING my RLS - Restless Leg Syndrome. I began taking the Celexa my Junior Year of college 2000, and my restless legs syndrome started sometime after that, within a year. NOW, keep in mind, I WAS prescribed a drug called Remeron because of my insomnia, within that time as well. The remeron, prescribed by a very well meaning doctor, was suppose to treat depression and the insomnia. Well, as we increased the dosage, it actually caused the RLS!!! I remember on Spring Break of 2001, I was in Florida with my roomie and friends and I was up crying one night because my legs were just going nuts! It was as if I had to run run run and never stop it was an uncontrolable feeling; on top of that, I truly think it was giving me weight gain and lethargy feelings as well...either that or I didn't get any rest on the trip at night so I felt bad during the day.
So here I am, almost 10 years later, still on the Celexa for the depression. I had considered tapering off slowly and so now I'm doing it. I'm going to take .75 of my pill for a week or two, then go down to .5, then .25, then .25 every other day, then nothing...and meanwhile I'm going to pump myself full of the good stuff - good nutrition, plenty of iron, minerals, vitamins. Lots of water, throughout because my bladder is weak too! I really hopes this works.
The hypothesis: Celexa or a grouping of Celexa and Remeron caused my RLS
The hopeful result: I will be free of taking BOTH the Celexa and the Mirapex(for the RLS) and also lose more weight!!! Drug free for GOOD...

Maybe Later
I just asked Kale if he wanted to go see the Elephant Rocks and walk on them...he said, "Maybe Later" in his cute little 2 year old voice. He has his sunglasses on right now. They are bright purple with orange lenses. I have the day off. Adriene is back at school. I have to end this cause Kale is wanting something...

Cinch
Newest addition to our family - a 8 month old, 1/4 Burmese Mountain Dog, 1/4 Collie, 1/4 Aussie Shepherd, 1/4 Golden Retriever. He's a cutie! We rescued him from a Dog Rescue place in Illinois. Right now he's mowing down on a dog bone...pictures to follow.

Mortar
Tonight, after Kale was in bed, I mortared the floor in the bathroom.
I am trying to level the floor out...I hope it only takes a couple of swipes. The back of the bathroom is quite woopy, and I already put one level down of self-leveling compound in one corner. This house is so old...I can't expect perfection; but I usually do out of myself and everything else except children. Well, all I can do is wait for this layer to dry, and hopefully the tile will go down tomorrow on the floor.
Kale's sick; he's had fever on and off for a couple of days now. He's congested and coughs a lot.
Shane worked today.
Amanda and the family hit a deer on the way up to MO and had to turn back around; they are borrowing Brian's Grandmother's car.

Got my bathroom, got my office
Hi guys, whomever you are.
Well, Shane FINALLY started the bathroom...I can already see the new tile and grout lines, the lit candles, and the bubble bath with ME in it.
AND, my office is organized! It looks great. Very fung shui...very egg fu yung, very mu shu...yum chinese sounds so good especially after you see it on TV
Shane and I had a hard day's work; we watched a movie together. Or well, really he sat in the recliner and watched a movie his way, O watched it mine: I ran around during dull scenes or asked him to pause while I go finish another section of my project - tonight it was a skirt for my fold up table.
Just ate two cookies and some milk cause my stomach's not liking the emptiness.
Gosh it feels good to have some organized life. Today was good. Kale is at Grandma Susan and Grandpa Bill's house. Man I need a shower; can't have one the bathtub's in the kitchen!!!!!!!
Much love to all.

The Sweetest Thing
Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I realized what the best thing is.
To look down, and see your sleeping baby in your arms, just inches away from his nose, so you can feel his exhale on your cheek.
THAT, is the sweetest thing.
